David Elizalde was arrested in Arlington on Sunday and faces four misdemeanor charges, according to reports.

ARLINGTON, VA — A Navy sailor charged in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol was stationed on a military aircraft carrier when he joined the pro-Trump mob, according to multiple reports citing court documents.
The FBI on Sunday arrested David Elizalde in Arlington on misdemeanor charges, including disorderly conduct inside a Capitol building, according to an Associated Press report.
Elizalde told investigators he was stationed on the USS Harry S. Truman when he drove from Norfolk to Washington, D.C., to join a crowd of Donald Trump supporters who attacked the Capitol to disrupt a joint session of Congress gathered to certify the 2020 presidential election results, the AP reported.

Elizalde told investigators he complied when an officer asked him to leave the building but lingered outside "to observe the scene for a little while because he knew something historic was happening," the AP reported, citing the FBI.
