Opening Soon: Cantina Mexicana Opens Second Location

Cantina Mexicana is opening a second location just off Columbia Pike on 922 Walter Reed Drive.
 
The restaurant has been in business since 1974 at their Crystal City location at 515 South 23rd Street.
 
“The owner has been looking to expand and this was the perfect opportunity,” said Ernesto Oropeza, operations manager for the restaurant.
 
Owners are taking their plans through the county’s permitting process at the moment, but they hope to open in late November or early December.
 
They plan to have the same menu and ambience from their first location.
 
“We are excited about the new location,” Oropeza said. “It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s a good thing.”
