Arlington Restaurant Named Among DC Area's 38 Best By Eater (patch.com) — Food lovers in Arlington have a new reason to celebrate as Ballston's SER Restaurant has been named to Eater DC's fall 2026 list of the 38 best restaurants in the Washington region. The Spanish spot on North Glebe Road earned praise for its tapas, paella, house-infused spirits, and expanded patio, standing out as Arlington's sole representative on the influential dining guide.
   

2. Teacher Claims Arlington Schools Punished Him For His Christian Beliefs: Lawsuit (patch.com) — A former Wakefield High School teacher has filed a federal lawsuit accusing Arlington Public Schools and the Arlington County School Board of religious discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation tied to his Christian beliefs and opposition to LGBTQ+ initiatives. The suit details reassignments, warehouse duty he calls hazardous, and his eventual resignation, while APS says it has no further comment as the case proceeds.
   

3. Armed Forces Cycling Classic joins international calendar with expanded Arlington route (arlnow.com) — Cycling fans in Arlington can expect a bigger spotlight as the Amazon Armed Forces Cycling Classic's men's Capitol Cup becomes a UCI Category 1.2 race in 2027, with a new course crossing the 14th Street Bridge into Arlington. 4. Young USCX champion Tofik Beshir in ICU at Tennessee hospital (cyclingnews.com) — A promising 19-year-old cyclocross champion who grew up in Arlington is in an ICU in Tennessee after a serious head-on crash while training in North Carolina.
