• Arlington GOP backs Clement for County Board, criticizes both treasurer candidates (arlnow.com) — Arlington Republicans have endorsed independent Audrey Clement for County Board, urging voters to rank her first while withholding support from the other candidates. The party is also sitting out the treasurer's race, sharply criticizing both contenders, as perennial candidates Clement and James "Vell" Rives IV again challenge Democratic incumbents.
   

• From Humble Arlington Rambler to Serene Scandi Jewel Box (arlingtonmagazine.com) — An Arlington family in the Leeway-Overlee neighborhood transformed their modest 1950s rambler into a light-filled, Scandinavian-inspired two-story home. Working with a local design-build firm, they added a second level, reimagined the kitchen and living areas, and preserved the original brick fireplace as a centerpiece. The redesign emphasizes efficient space, smart storage, and calm, modern finishes.
   

• Writing Competition: On Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations and the American Constitutional Order (nyu.edu) — George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School in Arlington is hosting a nationwide law student writing competition on Adam Smith's influence, with top prizes up to $7,500. Winners will present their work at an Arlington conference in April 2027 and receive feedback and networking opportunities with leading legal and policy experts.
