Pet Of The Week: Jaxson Has 'Certified Good Boy' Seal Of Approval

ARLINGTON, VA — If you were to describe the perfect pup, what traits would you list? House-trained? Playful? Walks well on leash? Lover of all humans?

Jaxson checks every box on the list! Not to mention, that sweet face with the salt-and-pepper beard is impossible to resist.

This handsome boy was originally found as a stray on the streets of Houston. It became pretty clear that he must have previously lived in a home, because he was so friendly and seemed to already have basic training skills. We'll never really know what happened in his previous life, but we sure are happy that he made his way here to Arlington.

Every volunteer and staff member he's met at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington has given him the “Certified Good Boy” seal of approval, and he's proud to live up to that title.

Jaxson is wiggly and well-mannered when meeting humans and has done well with some other dogs he has met. His favorite activity is licking peanut butter off of spoons (but he'll take a stuffed Kong toy, too).
