Peter Chang Fires Own Daughter After Rude Receipt Incident: Report
After staff insulted customers at the popular Arlington restaurant, several heads reportedly will roll.

It didn't take long for Peter Chang to respond after a story broke about rude treatment of customers at his Arlington restaurant -- and it looks like even his own daughter will get the ax over it.
Two wait staffers, a manager and Peter Chang's daughter Lydia Zhang, the restaurant's general manager of operations, will all lose their jobs after a customer complained that the staff made rude and obscene comments about him on the check through the point-of-sale system, according to a Washington Post report.
The customer, identified only as "Matt," had come to dinner at the popular growing regional chain recently and had a disagreement with the wait staff on whether it was customary for China to serve rice in family-style bowls or individual bowls. When they got the check, insults like "i am a plad a******" -- three of the four diners were wearing plaid -- and "i have a small penis" appeared at the bottom.

Peter Chang and business partner Gen Lee have fired everyone involved, including the chef's daughter. Lee reportedly told the Post that "business is business."
Zhang was not an experienced restaurant manager, and Lee said that he had tried to warn Chang that this was a mistake, according to the report.
