Planned Parenthood President to Campaign for Hillary Clinton in Arlington

Cecile Richards will kick off a Hillary for Virginia organizing event Wednesday night.

ARLINGTON, VA — Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, will lead an event supporting Hillary Clinton’s Democrat Primary campaign in Arlington on Wednesday.

The Hillary for Virginia organizing event will be at 7 p.m. at Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill, 2424 Wilson Boulevard.

Richards will talk about what’s at stake for women in this election, according to an announcement from the campaign.

Democrat Primary voters in Virginia head to the polls on March 1, choosing between Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.)

Planned Parenthood made its first primary endorsement in January.

“Everything Planned Parenthood has believed in and fought for over the past 100 years is on the ballot,” Richards told the New York Times at the time.

Clinton has launched a TV ad campaign in Richmond. High-profile surrogates have also met with voters, including U.S. Sens. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine.

Former President Bill Clinton will lead organizing events in Alexandria and Richmond on Wednesday, according to the campaign.
