Rape Charges Filed Against Falls Church Man By Arlington Police
Arlington County Police charged a Falls Church man in connection with a Monday morning sexual assault at a residence on Columbia Pike.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police charged at Falls Church man in connection with an attempted sexual assault at a residence on Columbia Pike on Monday, according to the daily crime report.
Officers responded around 4:08 a.m. for the report of a burglary at a residence in the 1900 block of Columbia Pike. They were met by the victim, who told them she was awakened by a man she knew who was trying to sexually assault her, according to police. The victim was able to safely escape the residence and then called police.
At first, the officials told the suspect to leave the residence. When he didn't reply, they entered, found the suspect and took him into custody.

Police arrested Freddy Santiago Rivadeneira Silva, 23, of Falls Church, and charged him with burglary with intent to commit rape and attempted rape. He is being held without bond.
