ARLINGTON, VA — The Arlington County Police Department is continuing to investigate the Aug. 27 stabbing of a boy who was running on the Custis Trail near the intersection of Washington Blvd. and N. Glebe Rd.

Residents in the area of the Custis Trail at N. Aberdeen St. are asked to review their home surveillance video for any footage that may help Arlington County Police detectives in the investigation. At about 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 27, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing on the Custis Trail prior to where the trail goes under Washington Blvd.

The juvenile victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries considered serious but non-life threatening, police said. In their investigation, police learned that a male suspect stabbed the boy and fled the scene on foot.

The victim described the suspect as an Asian or Hispanic male, wearing a striped shirt and shorts.
