Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For NoVa, DC Region
National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch Friday for Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

VIRGINIA — National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m. on Friday for parts of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
Damaging wind gusts caused by the storms may result in downed trees and power lines in areas, which could lead to power outages.
The region was already under a heat advisory Friday morning as a mix of temperatures in the upper 90s and humidity across Northern Virginia and D.C. will be make it feel like 105 to 109 degrees.

These areas in the D.C. metro region are affected by the severe thunderstorm watch:
- Alexandria
- Arlington
- Fairfax County
- Fairfax City
- Falls Church
- Fauquier
- Loudoun
- Louisa
- Madison
- Manassas
- Stafford
