ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are still looking for a man they say stabbed another man during a robbery at knifepoint Friday morning near Thomas Jefferson Middle School.

Around 11:02 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of S. Glebe Road for the report of an armed robbery, according to a police spokesman. A preliminary investigation revealed that a man approached the victim and took his jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money. The man then stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Arlington officers searched the area for the suspect, with the assistance of Fairfax 1, the Fairfax County Police Department's helicopter. Despite these efforts, police ended the search without locating the suspect.

Police described the suspect as a Black man in his mid-20s, who stood about 5-foot-10. He was wearing black hoodies and jeans.
