All Clear After Suspicious Package Found At Pentagon Transit Center

Bus and rail service to the Pentagon was restored around 12:35 p.m., authorities said.

ARLINGTON, VA — Pentagon security officials gave the all-clear just before 1:15 p.m. Saturday after investigating a suspicious package found at the Pentagon Metro Visitors Screening Center, authorities said.

According to the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, officials were alerted to the suspicious package just after 9:45 a.m. An explosive detection unit was called to the scene, authorities said.

The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
