Teenager Bursts Into Arlington Home, Beats Homeowner Unconscious: Police
The homeowner had yelled that he was going to report the teen for a beating a female victim in the street, police said.

A teenager is facing a litany of charges after a brutal home invasion in the Arlington Forest neighborhood on Monday.
Police say that a male homeowner in the 200 block of N. Columbus Street saw 18-year-old Victor Omar Suarez assaulting a female victim -- who Suarez had a prior relationship with -- in the street at around 10:35 p.m. on June 27. The man yelled that he was going to call the police, prompting Suarez to approach the house, the police report states.
"The suspect attempted to walk into the home and the homeowner tried to prevent entry by closing the door," Arlington police spokesperson Ashley Savage said. "The suspect was able to prevent the door from closing all the way and pushed his way into the residence."

Once inside, Suarez then beat the homeowner unconscious. Another resident of the home who saw the assault yelled for him to leave, prompting Suarez to threaten her too and then to start stealing electronics before the female victim in the street led him away, the police report states.
As police were investigating, they determined that Suarez had been involved in some other burglary attempts. A few minutes before the incident, police believe he tried to break into a residence in the 100 block of N. Columbus Street through a back door and then the garage, but was unsuccessful. He had apparently tried to open a vehicle door nearby as well, but was unable to, police said.
