Theft Of Coins From Laundry Machines Leads To Arrest In Crystal City
Arlington County Police arrested a 59-year-old man they say took coins from laundry machines in Crystal City on Wednesday night.
ARLINGTON, VA — A 59-year-old man found himself in police custody after stealing coins from laundry machines in Crystal City on Wednesday night, according to Arlington County Police.
Officers were responded around 10:03 p.m. to a residential building in the 2700 block of S. Fern Street for the report of a suspicious person. A preliminary investigation revealed that a man entered the building and began taking coins from laundry machines, according to police.
Responding officers located the suspect nearby and took him into custody. During the arrest, they recovered burglarious tools, police say.
