TV's 'Wahlburgers' Grabs Prime Real Estate in the Heart of Ballston
The restaurant featuring the famous Wahlberg brothers will open in 2017.

It's only been weeks since Wahlburgers announced their arrival in the D.C. area with a location in Dupont Circle, and they're already talking about expansion: this time, into Arlington.
The popular burger chain, which was made famous by the reality TV series of the same name starring the celebrity family that runs it -- Chef Paul Wahlberg along with brothers Donnie and film star Mark, will be moving into a spot near the Ballston Common mall, according to a statement.
In the initial statement announcing the Dupont location, the brothers indicated they intended adding numerous locations in the D.C. region at some point -- but this latest announcement shows that they intend to do it fairly quickly.

Wahlburgers has signed a lease for 6,600 square feet of retail space adjacent to the Ballston Common shopping mall at the intersection of Wilson Boulevard and Glebe Road -- certainly prime territory. Specifically, the restaurant will be located in the 11-story Ballston Point office building. The restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2017.
"Wahlburgers will deliver a dining experience built on the Wahlberg family values of heartfelt hospitality and fun while offering a chef-inspired menu that highlights creative burgers, sandwiches and sides made with quality ingredients," the statement reads. "The restaurant will feature both a fast casual counter and spacious full-service dining room with an expansive bar and outdoor patio. A retail section will showcase branded Wahlburgers T-shirts, hats, drinkware and more."

With two locations secured in the D.C. region, "we are excited to continue further expansion in the market," President and COO Maurizio Marfoglia of WBDC Hospitality LLC said in the statement.
Wahlburgers was founded by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg and brothers Mark and Donnie, along with other investors, back in October 2011 in their home state of Massachusetts. They have since been featured on an A&E reality show.
