At the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy (February 6-22), Meyer will photograph ski jumping and cross country skiing.</p><p>Meyer graduated in 2014 from Ohio University's <a href="https://share.google/7CGeQ2PND98PKM35U" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">School of Visual Communication</a> in Athens, Ohio.</p><p>At the <a href="https://share.google/s44x8b82P0rkAgcGD" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">2024 Summer Olympics in Paris</a>, Meyer was assigned to cover aquatics, including swimming medalist Torri Huske (Class of 2021 Yorktown High School). <p><b>Arlington Visual Art Studio Tour Presents</b><b> “Off the Grid,” </b></p><p><b>Group Exhibition at Marymount University’s Barry Gallery</b></p>

<p><b>Sept. 3 – Oct. 28</b></p><p>Arlington, VA – More than 40 Arlington-based artists will present work in “<b>Off the Grid</b>,” an exhibition at Marymount University’s Barry Gallery from Sept. 3 to Oct. 28. The show is organized to coincide with the ninth annual <a href="https://arlingtonartstudiotour.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Arlington Visual Art Studio Tour</a> (Sept. 26 – 27).</p>
<p>Responding to the grid as it relates to geography, art history, travel, and other forms of connection, this thematic presentation will highlight the area’s creativity and will encourage local audiences to explore Arlington’s art scene. An artists’ talk will take place at the Barry Gallery on Oct. 14 (5 – 7 pm).</p>
<p>Visitors can view and purchase works in a variety of media. Arlington artists are known for painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, papercutting, letterpress, and jewelry. Like the tour, this exhibition is foremost a community-building event that encourages visitors to discover and appreciate the artists in their neighborhood.</p>

<p>Calling all high school students with a passion for comedy! (the) Unruly Theatre Project (UTP) is The Alden’s professional teen improv company, bringing live comedic performances and community programs to audiences throughout the area.</p>
<p>Company members are paid for performances and rehearse twice a week from late September through May. In addition to performing at venues including art galleries, cafés and the Old Firehouse Center, members gain hands-on experience in areas such as marketing, stage management and photography.</p>
<p><strong>Open to 9th-12th graders only.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Open Auditions:</strong> Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 15-16, 7-9 p.m.<br>No prepared monologue is required. Headshots and resumes are welcome but not necessary.</p>
