4/2 Walter Mess regatta no mess for Stone Bridge Rowing
Stone Bridge Rowing sees 2/3 of the team place in the top three of their class at April's Walter Mess regatta
The Stone Bridge High School rowing team from Ashburn, Virginia built on its initial successes in March at the Walter Mess regatta at Sandy Run Regional Park on the Occoquan Reservoir in Fairfax Station, Virginia, on April 2, 2022. Competing with the entire team for the first time, SB Rowing raced in 9 classes and placed in 6 of them.
The Women's Varsity 4+, Men’s Junior Varsity 4+, and Women’s Junior Varsity 8 took 1st place in their class; the Men's Varsity1 4+ and Men's Varsity2 4+ boats took 2nd place in their class; and the Men's Double Scull boat took 3rd place in their class. The SB Rowing Team's next event is the Darrell Winslow Regatta at Sandy Run Regional Park on April 9, 2022.
