• SUV, E-Bike Crash Sends 2 Teens To Hospital, LCSO Investigating (patch.com) — Two 14-year-old boys from Ashburn were seriously hurt when their electric dirt bike collided with an SUV at Ryan Road and Blue Elder Terrace, though both are now in stable condition. The SUV driver was uninjured and stayed on scene, and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is asking any witnesses to call 703-777-1021 as they continue investigating and promoting e-bike safety resources.

• LCFR contain a major Lithium-Ion battery fire in Ashburn (theriver953.com) — Ashburn residents should know that firefighters contained a major lithium-ion battery fire Thursday afternoon at a facility on Uunet Drive, where everyone evacuated safely but damage is estimated at $2 million. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue called in a hazmat team and confirmed the blaze started from an electrical failure in battery storage. Officials stress how difficult these battery fires are to extinguish and keep from reigniting.
