ASHBURN, VA – Bank robbery suspect Paul Peter Gerardi, 40, of Leesburg, failed to appear in court twice in the past three weeks and is now considered a fugitive.
Gerardi was arrested on April 14 in Loudoun County in connection with a bank robbery in Middleburg in March. The other suspect in that case took his own life the same day after barricading himself in a residence in Hamilton.
Gerardi is also facing robbery charges in other jurisdictions: in Fairfax County, where he failed to appear in the Fairfax County General District Court on April 20, and in Prince William County, where he has a hearing scheduled for May 27.
Loudoun Now reports that those charges are related to a robbery at a Wells Fargo bank in Great Falls in Fairfax County on March 30 and the robbery of a Capital One bank in Gainesville in Prince William County April 1.
He now faces felony failure to appear charges in Loudoun County.
