Another Eatery Is Coming to One Loudoun

A new restaurant will join the lineup of watering holes this fall at One Loudoun, the new mixed-use development in Ashburn.

Matchbox, which bakes its cuisine in a wood-fired masonry oven, will open with a two-story patio, according to the website DC Eater. The restaurant serves bistro dishes like steak, scallops and salmon as well as grilled pizza.

Besides its original Chinatown location, near Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., Matchbox has a location on Capitol Hill and plans to open another on U Street in the District, according to the restaurant’s website.

Next year, Matchbox plans to open locations at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge and at Pentagon City in Arlington.

Eddie Merlot’s, a fine-dining restaurant, will also open its doors this fall at One Loudoun, at Route 7 and the Loudoun County Parkway.
