Report: Ashburn Man Named in Upstate New York Murder-Suicide

Police in upstate New York are investigating the deaths of two people, including 26-year-old Vincent Russo, who was identified as a resident of Ashburn, VA, according to a Wall Street Journal story attributed to the Associated Press.

According to the report, Ramy Jacildo, 22, of the Philippines, met Russo in Washington, DC, last year and had taken him to her brother’s Hudson Valley, NY, home to meet her parents, who were visiting from the Philippines. Russo never entered the home. Police are uncertain why he fired multiple shots from a .40-caliber handgun, killing Jacildo before turning the gun on himself Saturday morning.

Russo was pronounced dead at a hospital near the home about 45 miles north of New York City.
