Bomb Squad Checks Out Suspicious Package

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office: Resident called police after parcel arrived from overseas.

The Loudoun County Bomb Squad responded Tuesday morning to a report of a suspicious package delivered to a Sterling home, according to the county sheriff’s office.

A resident in the 900 block of Poplar Court called the county police at 11:50 a.m., saying the package was delivered to their home from overseas, according to a police report. The resident said that no one at the home had ordered anything to be delivered there.

The bomb squad rendered the package safe, the police report said. The package was later deemed harmless.
