Ashburn Fourth Of July 2017 Fireworks, Weather Forecast

Ashburn Village, an exclusive community housing development, will have a parade and party on the 4th, and fireworks on the 5th.

ASHBURN, VA — Ashburn Village, an exclusive community housing development, has a two-day way to celebrate the Fourth of July. It's having a parade and party on the 4th, followed by fireworks on the 5th. It's free for members and $10 for guests of members. Also, members must bring their membership cards.

The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. It begins at Fincastle Field, goes to Ringold, then onto the lake patch and ends at the Pavilion. Then, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., the party will include a DJ, a dunk tank, a water slide, a train and a moon bounce. The pool and paddle boats will be open.

WEATHER UPDATE: The weather forecast is a bit dicey. NBC Washington's Chuck Bell says storms will be a bit more likely south and west of the D.C. Metro area; he says rain is most likely between 2 and 7 p.m., but fireworks should be dry. The National Weather Service calls for scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Look for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 93. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent. The chance of scattered rain showers before 2 am creeps up to 50 percent. Skies tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.
