Inner-tube Ride Leads to ATV Accident

A Chantilly juvenile was injured Saturday evening in an accident involving two all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) that were pulling inner tubes, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 8 p.m., two adults were riding ATVs in the 27500 block of Equine Court and pulling juveniles behind them who were riding inner tubes on the snow-covered roadway, a Loudoun police report said.

At one point, the two ATV riders traveled towards each other when a juvenile in one of the tubes collided with an oncoming ATV. He received serious injuries and was taken to the StoneSpring Emergency Center in Sterling for treatment, the police report said.

No further details were released Monday about the accident.
