Loudoun County Crash Victim Was ‘A True Friend And Powerhouse’
Friends of Ammie K. Cho, who died in an Aug. 14 Loudoun County car crash, launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help her family with expenses.

LORTON, VA — Ammie Cho was many things for many people, friends say — someone who had a deep, profound impact on many lives. Now, friends are giving back to Cho’s family after she died in a car accident Aug. 14.
Cho and her 4-year-old daughter were on their way to school Wednesday, driving north on Belmont Ridge Road. It was about 7:20 a.m. when a Volkswagen traveling south on the same road crossed the center median and hit Cho’s Subaru. Cho did not survive the crash, and her daughter, as well as the driver of the Volkswagen, were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
“Miemo (Ammie) was boundless in talent and a part of so many different communities,” her friend Jimin wrote on the GoFundMe page. “From chartering a sorority, being in multiple car communities, advocating for pit bulls, sharing her love of nature and plants, to being a five-star chef with the ability to cook meals from so many cultures. There wasn't a single thing she couldn't do, and if there was she would learn how to do it (and do it well). She was a badass mother, fiercely loyal wife, devoted sister, inspirational mentor, true friend, a powerhouse.”
