The charges stem from an incident at a home in the 43000 block of Candlewick Square in Leesburg, according to a sheriff’s office report. Deputies responded at 3:27 a.m. Friday to a report of an altercation between several occupants of the home.

Upon arrival, one resident, identified as Shahid, locked himself in a bathroom and refused to comply with instructions from deputies, the report said. After exiting the bathroom, a deputy began to interview Shahid, who remained combative and spat on the deputy.
