Police Looking for Suspect in Convenience Store Robbery

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office: Woman has ties to Reston and Sterling.

The Loudoun County police announced Tuesday they are searching for the suspect in the May 2014 attempted armed robbery of a local convenience store.

Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have obtained a warrant for the arrest of Tashima D. Jones, 34, of no fixed address. She is wanted after an investigation revealed she entered the High Up convenience store on May 20, 2014, implied she had a weapon and demanded money.

The store clerk did not comply with the suspect’s demands, according to a police statement. The suspect then turned towards a customer and a physical struggle ensued. She then fled the scene.

Police described Jones as a black female, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Jones has ties to the Sterling and Reston area.
