The deputies responded to the scene of the accident at 12:21 a.m. Friday at the intersection of the Loudoun County Parkway and George Washington Boulevard, the sheriff’s office said. A motorist told them he was sitting at a stop signal and attempting to make a right turn when his vehicle was hit from behind by a 2015 Honda CRV.
The suspect driver fled the scene on foot, and he was later apprehended by deputies who searched the area with a K-9 unit (a deputy with a police dog). The victim declined medical treatment at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
