Snow Storm: Tuesday Commute Concerns, School Closings

Winter Storm Juno is hitting our neighbors to the north, but northern Virginia got a little bit of snow, too, Monday night.

Tuesday morning commute: Virginia Department of Transportation is advising drivers to check road conditions or delay travel before hitting the road Tuesday morning.

School Closing/Delay Information for Tuesday:

• Alexandria City Schools
• Arlington County Public Schools
• Falls Church City Schools
• Fairfax County Public Schools
• Fredericksburg City Schools
• Loudoun County Public Schools
• Prince William County Schools
• Spotsylvania County Schools
• Manassas City Schools and Stafford County Schools have a previously scheduled day off for students.
• DC City Schools

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday. Loudoun County is expecting between 2 to 4 inches of snow. The rest of the Northern Virginia region is preparing for 1 to 3 inches.

Dozens of flight cancellations Monday at Reagan National and Dulles International as the storm started hitting the Northeast.
