Stone Bridge High School Rowing Team wraps up the 2022 regular season

With blood-curdling cries of “WHO DO YOU ROW FOR? STONE BRIDGE!!!” echoing throughout the forest surrounding Sandy Run Regional Park in Fairfax Station, Virginia, the Stone Bridge High School rowing team (https://sbrowing.org/) from Ashburn, Virginia wrapped up its 2022 regular season with a bang at the Al Urquia regatta on April 30, 2022. On a day that started out with many in long johns and heavy coats, but ended with perspiration dripping from the heads of athletes and spectators alike, SB Rowing competed in 14 races against 201 other boats from a myriad of schools across the region.

The team’s Men’s Varsity1 4+ boat took 1st place in its class, the Women’s Varsity 4+ & Men’s Junior Varsity 4+ took 2nd place in their classes, the Women’s Junior Varsity 8 & Men’s Double (2X) took 3rd place in their classes, and the Men’s Varsity2 4+ boat took 4th place overall. The Women's Novice 8 and Men's Novice 8 boats finished 4th in their heats, while the Men’s Varsity3 4+ boat finished 5th in its heat (these boats did not advance to the finals).

The SB Rowing Team's next events are the Virginia State Rowing Championships at Sandy Run Regional Park on May 7, 2022 (lower boats) and May 14, 2022 (upper boats).
