Stranger Touches Child At School Bus Stop In Sterling: Police

A suspicious man hanging around a school bus stop for two days touched a child, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA — If parents aren't already spooked about the recent spate of strangers approaching children near schools or near bus stops, among other places, here's another cause for concern, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

On Friday, a resident reported that last Tuesday and Wednesday, and unknown male was seen hanging around a school bus stop. On Wednesday, he put his hand on top of a child's head. He's described as white, with gray and white short hair and around 6-1. He was seen driving a dark blue older model vehicle.

This past Thursday, police found two suspicious strangers lurking on the grounds at Legacy Elementary School in Sterling. Such occurrences are on the uptick, and a growing number of such incidents have been reported in the county over the past several weeks.
