VA State Patrol Seeks Witnesses In Fatal Loudoun County Crash

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the Aug. 14 crash that killed Ammie K. Cho of Aldie and injured her 4-year-old daughter.

LORTON, VA — Virginia State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the Aug. 14 crash that killed Ammie K. Cho of Aldie to come forward. While police said they already talked to several witnesses, they’re still hoping to hear from additional people who saw the crash occur or saw the 2012 Volkswagen CC prior to it striking Cho’s Subaru.

Cho and her 4-year-old daughter were on their way to school that Wednesday, driving north on Belmont Ridge Road. It was about 7:20 a.m. when the Volkswagen traveling south on the same road crossed the center median and hit Cho's vehicle. While Cho did not survive the crash, her daughter, as well as the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to contact the Virginia State Police Leesburg Office at 703-771-2533 or by email at questions@vsp.virginia.gov.

Friends also launched a GoFundMe last week to help alleviate any financial burden on Cho's family. Donated funds are intended to help with funeral, medical and living expenses, as well as provide for their daughter in the future. Donations can still be made on GoFundMe's website.
