5 Dates To Know On The Burke School Calendar
The new school year will be here soon. Here are five dates you should be aware of on the Burke school calendar.
BURKE, VA—The 2018-2019 school year is almost here, and while students may be dreading it, the time has come to make preparations for the upcoming school year.
All Fairfax County Public Schools students will be back in school on Tuesday, Aug. 28. It won't be long before they get another short break for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 3.
Here are five other important dates on the FCPS public schools calendar that you should be aware of during the first few months of the year.

- Sept. 19: Three hours early release (Yom Kippur)
- Oct. 8: No school (Columbus Day)
- Nov. 5-6: No school (Student holiday)
- Nov. 21-23: No school (Thanksgiving)
- Dec. 14: Three hours early release
