What matters is what's best for the child
The way Frank Murphy advocates for children in the courtroom is no different from the way he conducts business.

The way Frank Murphy advocates for children in the courtroom is no different from the way he conducts business. A self-described free-enterprise guy who helped establish United Stations Radio Networks, Frank doesn’t stop until he gets the job done. And this is exactly what makes him such an effective CASA volunteer. Over the past eight years, Frank’s approach has enabled him to advocate for five children on three different cases.
How does someone from the private sector fit into the oftentimes bureaucratic system that surrounds CASA? With lots of persistence and a knack for leaving those he works with on a good note. His advice for incoming advocates: “Learn the system and never be afraid to ask for information. What matters is what’s best for your CASA kid.”
Would you like to become a CASA volunteer? Attend Fairfax CASA's next information session on Saturday, June 15, 11 am - 12pm, at the Thomas Jefferson Library in Falls Church.
