Congregation Adat Reyim participates in Annual Watershed Cleanup

On Sunday, September 29th, nearly 30 members of Congregation Adat Reyim joined the Friends of Accotink Creek to clean up the Accotink Watershed as part of the International Coastal Cleanup event.  It was a successful day.  We worked together to collect tons of bags of garbage.  The rubbish included tires, a fishing rod, cement pipe, machinery, a skate board, a set of knee pads, bottles, cans, and more.

Why is this important? Not only is litter ugly, but also trash is a threat to wildlife, such as birds, turtles, and fish that depend on the river.
