Lake Braddock Secondary Students Host Sock Donation Drive for Homeless Families
Students in the Lake Braddock Secondary School Do Something Club have organized a sock donation project to collect socks and items of clothing for homeless persons.

A group of students at Lake Braddock Secondary School are collecting socks to donate to homeless men and women in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
The Lake Braddock Secondary School Do Something Club is currently collecting new packages of socks for the Central Union Mission until April 8.
"Those who are helping organize drives, or even any student who may donate, benefits from learning how to help others in need. It gives kids a sense of empathy. Teens realize what issues are uprising and important in our communities and how they can make a difference,” said Nirali Shah, president and founder of the Lake Braddock Do Something Club. Shah said she believes there are positive rewards for both givers and recipients through the project.
