Yes VIRGINIA, There's an IRISH NEW YEARS in Burke/Springfield!

Celebrate the passing of 2010 and the start of the New Year at the legendary Kate's Irish Pub. The three-day celebration starts on December 30 and continues through January 1.  In true Kate's fashion, great food, fine beverages and live entertainment will put a meaningful end to "two thousand and ten."  Mike Mooney, Kate's proprietor, has selected his best dishes for a special New Years Eve menu and engaged The New Dominion Band for the three dynamic days of festivities.  The New Dominion Band will take the stage at Kate's Irish Pub to perform popular music from seven decades plus a few "Olde Country" Celtic tunes. The band's music selections— titled "A NEW YEAR'S CELEBRATION"—start with Bill Broonzy's 1947 "Saturday Evening Blues." Patrons will then enjoy songs from the Beatles, dance to Bruce Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac", reminisce to Miranda Lambert's mega country hit "White Liar" and, at the stroke of midnight, watch the ball drop at Times Square on Kate's Big Screen while toasting 2011 with a memorable arrangement of Bobby Burn's "Auld Lang Syne".
