Fairfax County Schools Change Jan. 30 Schedule For Weather
Officials expect a drop in temperatures will create hazardous conditions on roads.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA—Fairfax County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 30. Officials attributed the closure to temperatures dropping below freezing overnight and creating hazardous road conditions.
The closure also applies to the following activities:
- Offices
- School age child care (SACC) centers
- extracurricular activities
- interscholastic contests
- team practices
- field trips
- middle school after-school programs
- professional learning and training courses
- adult and community education classes
- recreation programs and community use by outside groups not affiliated with FCPS
