Filler-Corn Named Co-Chair of Commerce & Trade Policy Committee

Del. Eileen Filler-Corn was appointed as Co-Chair of the Commerce and Trade policy council of Governor-Elect Northam's transition committee

Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Fairfax) was appointed as Co-Chair of the Commerce and Trade policy council of Governor-Elect Northam’s transition committee along with the President of George Mason, Angel Cabrera. Commerce and Trade is at the forefront of Governor-Elect Northam’s agenda. In a statement to the Richmond Times-Dispatch on November 30th, spokeswoman Ofirah Yeskel stated, “The Governor-Elect wants to ensure that when entrepreneurs and businesses choose Virginia, they are able to easily and efficiently navigate the resources available to support them.”

“I consider it an honor and privilege to serve in this capacity on the transition committee and appreciate the trust that the Governor-Elect has put in our Council,” stated Filler-Corn. She also mentioned that she looks forward to ensuring the new administration continues Governor McAuliffe’s legacy to bring jobs and businesses to our Commonwealth.

Filler-Corn, herself, is a veteran of the gubernatorial administrations of former Governors and current U.S. Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine. She also served on the transition committee of current Governor Terry McAuliffe.
