On Saturday, October 5th, nearly 100 members of Congregation Adat Reyim welcomed special guest, Shoshannah Nambi, as she shared stories and pictures of her people, the Abayudaya Jews of Uganda. A young activist on health care and women's issues, Shoshannah presented her perspective on the role of women in the community and the challenges they face.
Adat Reyim was the only synagogue in the Washington, DC area hosting Shoshannah on her national speaking tour.
