VSE Moving Headquaters to Springfield, Wins Award

Government engineering and construction contractor VSE Corporation won the Manufacturing Deal of the Year award from the Global M&A Network.

According to a company press release, VSE was chosen for the award because  their purchase of Wheeler Brothers Inc. (WBI) earlier this year was a win-win for both companies.  "The vertical acquisition allows for WBI, a formerly family-owned business, to continue their growth and VSE acquires a great competency to expand upon its supply chain capabilities,” said Shanta Kumari, CEO of Global M&A Network.

Wheeler Brothers, Inc., is a Pennsylvania based supply chain management company specializing in truck parts.

VSE Corporation, currently based near the Huntington Metro Station, is moving their headquarters to Spingfield in May 2012.  The new offices will be in a building near the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station.
