Assistance League® of Northern Virginia celebrated National Dental Hygiene month by donating nearly 4,200 toothbrushes, one for each student attending their local partner Title 1 elementary schools.

Throughout the year, ALNV provides weekend food for children facing food insecurity without school-provided meals, as well as new seasonal-appropriate clothing, socks, underwear, and coats. ALNV also provides books for all children in partner schools regardless of need, along with reading tutoring in several of the partner schools.

Assistance League® of Northern Virginia is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to feed, clothe, educate, and support local children from low-income families. ALNV receives no federal, state, or local funding, relying on fundraising, donations, grants, and partner support to help children’s basic needs.
