Adoptable Pet of the Week: Meet Mugsy

Mugsy is a medium sized male Pug/Beagle mix. He is three years old and is neutered and up to date on shots.

Sometimes, you come across a very handsome young man with everything going for him and wonder—how is he not taken? That’s Mr. Mugsy. He’s a terrific dog, but for some reason he’s been hanging out at the rescue much longer than he should be. He’s been watching other dogs come and go and wondering “when will it be my turn”?

Mugsy is an owner surrender, through no fault of his own. Whether through an economic situation or a shortage of available time, his previous owner said he could no longer care for Mugsy. When Mugsy first arrived at the rescue, he was pretty blue about his situation, but you would never know it now.

Mugsy has so much going for him! In addition to being so very handsome, he loves to play with his toys, go for walks and receive lengthy belly rubs. He is friendly and enthusiastic about making new friends—humans of all ages (he loves kids!) and other dogs. 

He is a very sweet guy and just wants a place to call home. He appreciates being at the rescue, but he would really like his own family and his own space.
