Adoptable Pet of the Week - Meet Scupper!

Scupper is a very handsome young Coonhound waiting patiently for his forever home.

Scupper is a three year old male Coonhound mix. He has already been neutered and has been waiting a while for his forever home.

While he is young and handsome, it sure doesn't help that there are always a bunch of fuzzy little puppies around during adoption events. I mean yes—puppies sure are adorable, but let's face it—training one is not the easiest thing in the world. Enter Scupper. He is already housebroken and crate trained! All the hard work has been done for you. All he needs is someone to love him, and a bit of brushing up on his social skills. He is not always enthusiastic about new situations, but honestly—how many of us are? He can be initially picky about which dogs he'd like to be friends with, but after some time to acclimate, he will do fine.

Scupper is a pretty active guy and could definitely use a fenced-in yard where he could romp and chase a ball off-leash. Training for that marathon or 5k?  Scupper's your man. He would love to be your running buddy.

Scupper is tall and lanky and would do best with older kids, as the wee little ones can be easily knocked down by this big lug. Scupper is currently in a foster home through A Forever Home Rescue Foundation. If you would like to meet him, please attend one of the weekly adoption events—please note there is a change to this weeks adoption event schedule.

When I first met Scupper, he was off to the side a little and being a bit shy, but we introduced ourselves and within a minute he was just great. Did I mention how handsome he is? Don't take my word for it, contact AFH to set up a meeting or just come on over to an adoption event and see for yourself.
