Baltimore Aquarium a Close Drive From Our Area

The Baltimore Aquarium is filled with many visiting families.

In the Baltimore Aquarium you can see fish, scuba divers, and live animals.

Many people like to see the fish. The fish included small areas and big habitats. Beth, Aquarium Biologist, said "what we want kids to get out of coming here is ecology and learning about the aquatic world. We also want kids to find a love of sea life."

There was an overview area of fish, stingrays and many sharks. When you went up the stairs you still saw the big overview tank, but even better.

Kaitlyn, age 8, from Springfield said "My favorite part is watching people dive. No not really, I think it would be scary with the stingrays." At parts of the day, scuba divers went into the water. Kids were engaged in seeing the divers. When the divers were in the water, they were very interactive.

A diver said, "I want to go diving because I love to be with the fish. I like learning because I always learn underneath the water. It is the fish's world and we are guests. The water temperature is 75 degrees. We wear suit to keep us warm and protect us."

When you go, ask the people that work there some questions, you will learn something new.  Aiden, age 6, from Centreville, asked "Do sharks have ears?" and "Where do you get the fish from?"

Kids had a fun time at the Baltimore Aquarium.
