Todd Webb created BrickFair. He said, "BrickFair is simply about having fun for a few hours, a day, or a whole weekend. We're not trying to teach kids anything (although LEGO tends to be educational, I think, by its very nature). We just hope to provide kids and their parents with an afternoon of LEGO fun. When we adults build big, impressive LEGO models, we like to show off. So it's fun for us too, having lots of public visitors enjoy our creations. If everyone leaves BrickFair with a smile on their face, and perhaps a few more pieces of LEGO in their hands—which I know they will enjoy at home again and again—then we've done our job."

Most of the exhibits you cannot touch, but there is another part where you can touch. It is called Stay and Play. You can play with the Lego when you are there and you leave it so other people can play after you.
You can win a Lego set by guessing how many Lego are in the jar!
There is unique stuff that you can buy.
This is really a big event. Do you wonder how the creator of the event first started playing with Lego? He said, "Trying to recall my first LEGO memory is like trying to remember the first time I ate food. LEGO has simply always been there. I received LEGO sets for Christmas every year of my life, ever since I can remember. Except for Christmas the year I was 21 years old. I guess that year my mom decided I had "grown up" and wouldn't like them. I was so very disappointed! And I let my family know it. Of course, now, I have tons of LEGO throughout my house. But still, every year at Christmas, I receive at least one small LEGO set."
If you like Lego, you will have a great time!
