CVHS Basketball Team Struggles in Early Season
An early season recap of Centreville boy's basketball.

The Centreville is 3-5 at this point in the season. They started the season with back-to-back losses to and . The next three games resulted in victories over , Yorktown, and . The last three losses have come to , , and last night.
They are looking to get back on track as they travel to face Stonewall Jackson Thursday night (7:30 p.m.) and then head to New York for a couple games during the holiday break. It was a somewhat expected slow start because some players were missing because of the school's football team making it but the players who were expected to come out got injured (Travis Whitney, Jamal Sykes, and ).
Head Coach Drew Murphy and assistants Steve Sonnen and Tim Lucas are still working hard to help improve the players with great practice plans and hard work as the players ask questions to make sure they are doing everything right. They will be starting Concorde District play in about two weeks. The team is (five seniors, two juniors, three sophomores, and two freshmen) and will look to get some momentum with three games coming up soon.

The freshmen team is currently 3-3 and the JV team is 6-0.
