National Museum Day is September 24, 2011. This event is held annually. National Museum Day is hosted by Smithsonian Magazine. You can pick from a list of museums that normally charge admission.

These tickets are one per household. Each ticket is good for two people. These tickets are only good on September 24.
The museums could be right in your backyard. Like the or other fun ones like the National Crime and Punishment Museum in Washington, DC.
Even if you are out of town, you can participate in this event. There are participating museums across the entire United States.
