When I got there, I had breakfast and then went to morning meetings with other kids. We learned a lot about what our parents do at work.
During lunch, kids got to eat with their parents. We ate gyros at a food truck. If you ate outside, you could see a lot of sights in DC.

In the afternoon, I spent time with my dad when he was working. It is neat working with your mom or dad even if you cannot use their computer. You are still at work, sometimes just sitting around and wait for somebody.
People talked about this special day. Annie, age 8, said "my favorite part was hanging out with my mom and sister. The most best place in DC was the Chinese Restaurant." That is where she had lunch with her mom.
Her mom put together the program for my dad's work. What she wanted kids to get out of it was "getting to get better understanding of the work their parents do."
It was a great day to go to work with my dad. Lots of kids had fun!
