The past week was quite eventful due to the . Although it was sad, I saw something else more beautiful result from all this: a community coming together.
I always knew this place was something special, and now everything I've witnessed reinforces that. Truth be told, I didn't think there would be this much worry with the way the media has portrayed mosques and everything that associates with it—but it's so heartwarming to see the way you've all responded.
Just recently, we received a message from the Presbyterian women adding their support and prayers. I hope you will all come and visit our mosque, Masjid Mubarak, which means "House of Blessings," when it opens.
